Dearest QVC Member,

Another year done and dusted! Can you believe it?! 2021 went past like a whirlwind and it seems like only yesterday that we celebrated Easter, in uneasy anticipation of what the year might still hold.


First we want to start off by acknowledging and thanking our QVC members for your support, continued payments and – most of all – making use of your portfolio to go on holiday! Despite the current global pandemic and the uncertainty around it, we have been overjoyed to see thousands of our members, together with their loved-ones, visiting our Club Resorts throughout 2021.

In this newsletter we will answer some of your top club-related questions, talk about the new 2022 (reduced!) exchange fee and announce the 2022 Bonus Break prices. We’ll be putting the spotlight on some of our favourite destinations and sharing some top holiday tips and tricks.

In the last newsletter we asked our QVC members to share the topics that they would like more information on, in regards to their holiday product. Here are the top results and a quick summary of each:

My Units: What are they worth?

All availability in the QVC holiday pool is allocated a Club Unit value, depending on the resort, unit type, season and length of stay.

Your Club Units hold the same value as they had on the day you purchased them. You will not require more Club Units to secure the same (or a similar) week, in a similar unit, at the same resort in 3 years' time, or more, than you do now. The total Club Units assigned to a particular timeshare chalet/unit per annum may not vary. Only the values assigned to individual weeks in that chalet/unit may vary, according to where those weeks fall in any given year, in regards to season and school holidays.

My Bookings: Where can I go?

There are a wide variety of resorts, destinations, holiday-types and experiences to choose from, within the QVC pool of holiday accommodation (both locally and internationaly). QVC members enjoy flexibility with regards to the size and type of accommodation and the season, depending on their portfolio and the availability of accommodation. Click here.

BUT as the saying goes: “The early bird catches the worm.” If you don’t plan and book your holidays ahead of time, other Club members will snap up their first choice of availability before you, especially when it comes to those sought-after peak holiday weeks and those resorts with an extremely high demand. The closer one gets to the actual check-in date, the less chance there is of accommodation still being available. Always keep in mind that the following year’s bookings open in September of the current year, excluding December availability; which opens in December of the current year.

My Units: What can I do with them?

You can use your Club Units to book holiday accommodation from the Club pool of holiday availability. Your Club Units are the “currency” used to transact on your holiday portfolio. My Bookings: Special offers?

QVC shares special offers with members, via the website, per email and SMS (selected offers), on a regular basis. Make sure that you have not blocked our email address: noreply@qvc.co.za on your side. If you are not receiving these specials and email notices you might have unsubscribed from our mailers in the past. Please chat to our Team so that we can add you to our promotional mailing list again, so you don’t lose out on all of your membership benefits!

BONUS BREAKS – Bonus Breaks are exclusive cash deals available to Club members throughout the year (excluding peak periods). You can book 2022 Bonus Breaks from
R1399/midweek | R2199/weekend | R3299/week.

My Units: What is there validity period?

Your Units can be accumulated for a set amount of years (usually 3, depending on your specific membership agreement). Read more about your Units here.

My Portfolio: How can I use it?

The purpose of your holiday portfolio is to provide for an annual holiday for you and your family. Club Units are released yearly for you to use to book available holidays from the QVC availability pool.

We are excited to share that the exchange fee for 2022 has been reduced to the 2020 price and is now R995 again!


When making an exchange reservation online through the QVC dashboard, or when making an exchange reservation through the QVC Call Centre, the 2022 Exchange Fee is R995.

MEMBER VERIFICATION
Please note, for your protection, strict security protocols are followed when dealing with queries in regards to your portfolio. For member verification purposes, please ensure you have your ID number, postal address, e-mail address and cell number on hand when calling in. Should you wish to provide access to your portfolio to a third party, or allow a third party to transact on your behalf, they will require a full Power of Attorney in order to do so.
